TAACT 2018 – Future dates to be Announced

This will be an exhilarating program!  Ninth through twelfth grade students will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting history of the Tuskegee Airmen, participate in a discovery flight, interact with professionals in the aviation industry and there is so much more! The goal of the Tuskegee Airmen Aviation Career Training Program is to excite and motivate our youth to learn about the aerospace industry. The TAACT program endeavors to instill, in children, an appreciation for the academic skills, moral character, proper conduct, dedication and discipline necessary to succeed. Veterans Days Ceremony – The Montford Point Marines

Hood, JR., U.S. Army (Retired)[/caption] The Atlanta Chapter Tuskegee Airmen, Inc. and The Most Worshipful Prince Hall Grand Lodge cordially invite you to attend their Fourth Annual Veterans Day Ceremony celebrating The Montford Point Marines. In 1942, President Roosevelt established a presidential directive giving African Americans an opportunity to be recruited into the Marine Corps. These African Americans, from all states, were not sent to the traditional boot camps of Parris Island, South Carolina and San Diego, California. Instead, African American Marines were segregated - experiencing basic training at Montford Point - a facility at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. Approximately twenty thousand (20,000) African American Marines received basic training at Montford Point between 1942 and 1949. Join us in celebrating…
