DESCRIPTION:Upson’s annual Emancipation Day Celebration will take place Saturday\, May 24\, beginning with the parade at 11 a.m. \nOrganized each year by the Emancipation Committee of Upson\, this year’s theme is “Our Story is Greater When We Come Together as One.” \nFollowing the parade (from Bethel Street in Thomaston to downtown and then to Lincoln Park)\, the fun will continue until 8 p.m. at 235 MLK Drive in Thomaston\, featuring a traditional program\, community festivities\, a kids’ zone\, live music\, vendors\, raffles\, giveaways\, and more. \nFor more information\, call 770-648-4753.
