TAAST offers comprehensive training in various aviation disciplines. Our program targets students between the ninth and twelfth grades, where they are exposed to actual flight training. Students in the program explore the many career options available in aviation and aerospace. Classes are conducted in traditional classrooms, simulators, and airplanes. Instructions will cover aviation history (including the role of African-Americans in aviation), introduction to robotics, drones, and navigation; flight simulator orientation, exposure to training areas from FAA-certified flight instructors; interaction with career professionals in the aviation industry; and field trips to aviation museums, military bases, and Air Traffic Control Centers. To this point, all classroom materials, orientation flights, and field trip transportation are provided by ACTAI Youth Education through our partnerships, grants, and donations to the Atlanta Chapter Tuskegee Airmen, Inc.

Through our partnership between Atlanta Chapter Tuskegee Airmen Inc. (ACTAI); the Aviation Career Enrichment (ACE), and the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals (OBAP) which are nonprofit organizations dedicated to the encouragement and advancement of minorities youth in all aviation and aerospace careers. Our Chapter can provide flow-through educational and historical opportunities for students who wish to continue their aviation experience after completing the summer programs.
